Permitted only:
o Between the Le Pin launch ramp and the end of the white barriers (area marked by buoys), from 1 September to 30 June
o In the training area at Paladru beach

Organisations affiliated to the FFESSM (French Federation of Underwater Studies and Sports) must comply with the following agreement:
2023 AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE FFESSM AND THE SOCIÉTÉ DU LAC DE PALADRU
Associations and approved commercial dive centres (SCA) affiliated to the FFESSM are authorised to dive in Lake Paladru under the conditions set out in this agreement.
The FFESSM AURA regional committee will circulate this agreement to the FFESSM, its associations and affiliated dive centres.
Article 1: Authorised area
The only area authorised for diving is in the municipality of Le Pin, at the place called La Plage. Lengthwise, it is bounded to the south (Charavines side) by the edge of the Le Pin launch ramp and to the north (Paladru side) by the end of the retaining wall of the departmental road.
The area is approximately 800 metres long and 100 metres wide.
The Société du Lac de Paladru will put up two signs marking the limits of this area near the departmental road, as well as buoys marking its offshore limits.
Article 2: Safety rules
Diving must comply with the French Sports Code, the Lake Paladru Regulations, the prefectural order (currently No. 2014104-0047) and federation rules, including (non-exhaustive list):
-
the mandatory presence of a Dive Director holding the minimum qualification required for the type of open-water dive, and the completion of a safety sheet;
-
assistance and rescue equipment (Art. A. 322-78-1 to A. 322-78-3);
-
regulation signage of the dive area;
-
and all other applicable regulations in force.
In addition, a person equipped with fins, mask, snorkel and wetsuit must remain on the bank at all times, watching the areas where the dive groups are operating near the marker buoys, ready to intervene if necessary.
Furthermore:
-
A safety boat must watch over the dive groups if the dives take place more than 25 metres from the bank.
-
Supervision from the bank is permitted if the dive area is less than 25 metres from the bank.
Solo diving is prohibited.
Article 3: Authorised period
Diving is permitted all year round except in July and August.
Exceptional exemptions for one-off events during this period may be requested by e-mail.
Article 4: Organisation of dives
Diving activities of FFESSM member organisations (associations and SCAs) are organised through and under the supervision of the FFESSM AURA regional committee, with which this agreement is made.
In addition, organisations must inform us by e-mail 15 days in advance of any organised dives, stating:
-
the dates,
-
the time slots,
-
the approximate number of divers,
-
any certification tests and levels.
For level 4 certification tests, a special authorisation must be requested, specifying an extended swimming area if necessary.
Article 5: Partnership between the parties
1/ The Société du Lac de Paladru owns the area covered by the water when it reaches the zero level of the Charavines weir. It does not own the shores.
Users of the banks must look after them carefully, respecting lakeside properties and the environment and keeping the site clean.
2/ At the request of the Société du Lac, the Federation may provide biologist divers free of charge to assist with its research on preserving the lake (fauna and flora).
3/ Sporting events in keeping with the purpose of the FFESSM may be organised in the lake, subject to case-by-case authorisation by the Société du Lac de Paladru.
4/ The Société du Lac de Paladru accepts no liability for any accident that may occur during a dive, or for any damage that may be caused to third parties as a result.
If safety conditions are not met, or if the rules of good neighbourliness (keeping the site clean, respect for others, etc.) are not observed, the Société du Lac de Paladru reserves the right to stop and prohibit the activities in progress at any time, and will report the matter to the AURA committee.
