Security and Silence

Visitors who come to sail on this lake are asked to respect the rules safety and to know live. In particular for beach gear (paddle, pedal boats, etc.), navigation outside the shore strip is prohibited during the hours of ski nautical. Loud music is contrary to family attendance at the lake.

Lac de Paladru is a private lake, belonging to the Société du Lac de Paladru. It is open to the public but nautical activities are subject to the following regulations which concern all users.

 

Are applicable:

  • navigation rules on inland lakes and bodies of water defined by decree 2013-251 and 253 on the general police regulations for inland navigation

  • prefectural decree no. 2014104-0047   laying down special regulations for the navigation police on the Paladru lake

  • Prefectural decree n°84-996 on the protection of the biotope of the reedbeds of Lake Paladru

  • this regulation.

 
  1. Different areas of the body of water
  • Zone delimiting the shore strip

Along the shores, a continuous zone called the “shore strip” with a width of 200 meters is materialized by spherical yellow buoys. The circulation of any boat takes place thereperpendicular to the shoreto reach the open sea or to dock with the exception of non-motorized pleasure boats and those with motorization equal to or less than 10 HP (7.36 kw) or in fishing action.

  • Bathing area

Inside the "bank strip" are marked areas of reinforced protection, exclusively reserved for swimming, inside which all boat traffic is prohibited.

  • Reed bed protection zone

The reedbeds are classified as a protection zone where swimming, parking and circulation of any boat and, in general, any penetration are prohibited with the exception of the service of the authorized pontoons which is carried out in the axis of the work. Any movement of motor boats is prohibited within 50 meters of the front of the reedbedsand private properties built.

   2.  Moorings

The parking of any boat is carried out under the sole responsibility of its owner and at his own risk. It is limited to wharfs or fitted out lines as well as to buoys authorized by the Société du Lac.. For the allocation of a place, contact Mr. Maurice DESPIERRE guard of the lake (06 32 11 48 26).

The mooring buoys must be biconical in white color and be authorized by the Société du Lac.

The parking of boats is prohibited on the lake out of season from November 1 to March 1, except at the jetties and buoys provided to respond to gales.

It is forbidden for any boat to moor to the buoys, floats, beacons, signs and stakes protecting the reedbeds.

In the event of a drop in the water level, it is up to each owner to withdraw their boat in a timely manner.

   3.  Insurance

The Lac de Paladru company declines all responsibility in the event of an accident or incident resulting from the use or parking of any boat, even authorized ones. It is therefore up to the holder of the authorization to sail and to the users of the boat to make all arrangements and take out all insurance, so that the Société du Lac de Paladru is never worried about this.

   4.  Bathing

For the public, swimming is only authorized in places and places and under the conditions defined by the municipal decrees issued by the Mayors of the neighboring municipalities.  Crossing the lake by swimming is prohibited. Protected swimming areas are delimited in Charavines, Le Pin, Montferrat and Paladru. In July and August, some beaches can benefit from a surveillance system by lifeguards.

   5.  Canadairs

 

Canadairs can use Lake Paladru for training or if necessary. Traffic restrictions temporarily result from this according to national provisions.

   6.  Navigation
  • Permission

All boats, including float-tubes, circulating on Lac de Paladru must have an authorization issued by the Société du Lac de Paladru, according to the current tariff. The authorization to circulate relates to a boat regardless of the user. It does not in itself confer any right to fish. Boats benefiting from a year-round authorization must be identified by a numbered sticker, provided with the authorization, to be affixed to the rear exterior gunwale or to the handle of the paddle.

Motor boats with a power equal to or greater than 9.9 HP are limited in number. They are subject to special authorization. Only the manager of Société du Lac de Paladru is authorized to issue the corresponding authorisations. Send a written request to the Company, 1671 route du Lac 38850 PALADRU. (Waiting list).

  • Traffic

Sailing is only allowed ½ hour before sunrise and ½ hour after sunset.

The use of beach gear is prohibited outside the shore strip.

In accordance with the legislation in force, a boat license (coastal, river, offshore) is compulsory to drive any motor boat with a power greater than 4.5 KW (6 HP).

Registration and registration is mandatory for motorized boats over 4.5 kW (6CV) or over 5 meters in length

The traffic speed of any motor boat is limited to 5 km/h all year round, except outside the shore strip during the authorized period. 

Along the way, it is forbidden for motorized boats to approach within 50 m. sailing boats, rowing boats, SUPs, fishing boats or gear without mechanical propulsion, built private properties and the front of the reedbeds.

The navigation of any motor boat with a power equal to or greater than 10 HP is only authorized from Saturday June 25 to Friday September 30  with the exception of rescue or safety boats. During this period, the practice of motorboating and water skiing is authorized outside the shore strip from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. until August 31, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in September

  • Water skiing and towed gear

The boat driver must be accompanied by a person at least 15 years old responsible for servicing the trailer and supervising the skier. The trailer must not be towed empty. The departure of skiers or towed vehicles is prohibited from the shore of the lake. It must be done in open water outside the shore strip.

The practice of barefoot is prohibited.

Towing a beach gear - inflatable, buoy, tube, board - should only be done at low speed, in a straight line and with a maximum of one gear per boat. It is forbidden to turn in circles and take tight turns at high speed to avoid an accentuated and dangerous chop for other users.

  • Special gear

The use of special watercraft such as kitesurfing, jet-skiing, jetsurfing, water scooters, electric foilboards (e-foils), hydrofoils and others, as well as any climbing practice is prohibited on Lake Paladru.

 

   7.  Sin

Fishing is practiced in Lake Paladru according to the regulations of the Approved Association of Fishing and Protection of the Aquatic Environment (AAPPMA) of Paladru.

   8.  scuba diving

Underwater diving is only authorized in the marked area between Pin beach and the "white barriers" from September 15 to June 30 and in the area reserved for learning at Paladru beach.

 

The Société du Lac de Paladru reserves the right to withdraw an authorization to circulate from its holder in the event of non-compliance with the regulations or reprehensible behavior on the part of any user claiming this authorization. It also reserves the right to refuse authorization to travel to any type of boat that it has not previously approved.
